Beginner I Classes
Our six-week sessions are designed to give the beginning student a solid background of basic glassblowing techniques. Students will learn to create a variety of shapes including: paperweights, ornaments, cups, bowls and more. With each new shape, students will refine their skills at gathering glass onto the rod, shaping it with various tools, and adding basic color applications to glass. Hot shop safety, etiquette and proper form are all stressed throughout each lesson.
Class sizes are limited to 6 students to provide an intimate studio environment and maximize learning potential. A small class size ensures each person receives quality instruction and ample access to tools, equipment and materials.
Beginner I tuition includes all materials, tools and color required for glassblowing. There are no additional fees or taxes. A $300 deposit is required to confirm registration.
Students can enroll for courses in person or by calling the studio at (206) 448-2181. Tentative holds may be placed via e-mail. Please send email requests to: email@example.com
