Group Workshop

Our 4-hour group workshops are designed to give the beginning student an overview of basic glassblowing techniques. Students will learn to create a shape of their choice including: paperweights, ornaments, cups, bowls and more. Students will learn about gathering glass onto the rod, shaping it with various tools, and adding basic color applications to glass. Hot shop safety, etiquette and proper form are all stressed throughout each lesson. On avarage, students will create 1-2 pieces during the lesson.

Class sizes range from 10-25 students depending on enrollment.

Group workshop tuition includes all materials, tools and color required for glassblowing. Payment in full is required to confirm registration. Gratuity for the instructors is suggested and not included in the cost of the class.

Students can enroll for courses in person or by calling the studio at (206) 448-2181. Tentative holds may be placed via e-mail. Please send email requests to: sgs@seattleglassblowing.com
